well i:m back in the vortex!
however, this time around i:m determined not to get swept up in the insanity. being in Malaysia was fantastic! it was really chill and relaxing and just waht i needed to regroup. i:m still hella emotional but its not as bad as it was before i left. i even made it three days in malaysia without crying! (what has happened to me...) it:s not that i:m horribly sad, just emotional. like, crying at sunsets n shit. anyways...
snorkelling was amazing. they aren:t kidding when they say the water is crystal clear!!! i snorkelled for a couple hours, and saw some beautiful coral, two sea turtles, one of which was feeding which was really neat to watch as his massive fins were trying to get food trapped in the coral, a trigger fish, and s shark! actually i didn:t see the shark, but my snorkel buddy Mike did... but i mean hey, i was close enough! i was scared of the trigger fish cuz those things are territorial muthas and will chomp u up if you intrude!
the commute off the island down to JB involved an exhaust filled boat, an unairconditioned bus, and pretty much two hours of hell. but it was nice to shop around and buy omiyage in malaysia before heading to singapore. in singapore we pulled an all nighter at the airport before eventually hopping on a plane back home. this was before dealing with the most insolent excuse for an intelligible airport checkin girl. this girl completely failed to demonstrate any knowledge of a passport or the purpose of a visa and reentry permit and was QUITE rude with her manhandling of my papers. and i had no sleep. and neither did Cam. we are borderline delirious without it!
Taka picked us up at Narita and we went for sushi and then back to his family house outside Tokyo to chill for a bit before going our seperate ways, i to iwaki and cam to omiya. it was chillin: to meet his parents. they are super nice, his dad wanted to drink with us! heeheee, next time for sure!
my head is still in island mode so work has been trying this week, and coupled wit the fact our manager is trying to take away one of our designated national holidays and make us work i am a somewhat less-than-island-living teacher. BUT on the upside i got my vacation cleared in november so i am Australia-bound for three glorious weeks where i intend to do nothing but party, lie in the sun, party, get my scuba certification, and party. ahhhh...... life is good! i love living in Asia as many countries are in close proximity.
well i have to get going and have some lunch before heading back to work. this weekend taka is coming up to iwaki so on monday i:m trekking down to Mito to spend the day with him there *Danielle, we always hang out in Iwaki, let:s spend the day in another city!* oooh little tiny Japan you are perfect to me!
