I:m feeling much better today, as I woke up and began my day with 15 minutes of zazen (meditation), and then a round of Pilates. Then i made some scrumptious rice paper Thai wraps for lunch, and headed out into the sunny world outside. Being outside, in nature, completely rejuvenates me! i feel like the trees above breathe new life into me, that the wind gushes through my soul cleaning out all the dusty cobwebs of despair. I took myself to Nagoya, where i:m now stationed at a smoky, seedy internet cafe, where I visited Atsuta Shrine. Today was COming of Age day, so there were multitudes of 18 year old boys and girls out, all dressed up beautifully in kimono and the kimono version for men. it was so beautiful. it was nice just to walk about the shrine alone and take in the nature. it wasnt terribly warm out, but lost in my own thoughts the outside temperature didn:t seem to matter...
today i:ve decided to practice Pilates and meditation for 21 days faithfully, the time it takes to forge a new neural pathway. i:m looking forward to the fact that three weeks from now those practices will become part of my daily life, and bring me one step closer to rising about my current state of worldly disarray. Until next time...
