my umbrella is a visual illusion and in no way actually keeps falling wet stuff from the sky from dropping on me and soaking me to the bone. and if it wasn:t for the fact i:m having dinner with taka and have to buy groceries, i would have well stayed in bed all day today.
mom, you:ve passed it on to me. it always rains on me days off.
tha chans got back from thailand last week, and event which led to much drinking and much hangoverness the next day. i think i spend almost a third of my life being hungover. that:s gross, really. the return of the chans, dinner and sake with phil- we polished off half of this monster bottle, a bottle that, if it had a note attached saying *drink me* i would have well believed i was alice in wonderland shrunken down in size.
and of course, last night was jayne and koichi:s wedding party, another gorgeous night at Cafe Del Mar, which i found out Phil named! his old japanese teacher is the chef there. she made the most delicious meal last night- started with garlic breads with hot mustard sauce, and mussels with warm cheese. then came the warm spaghetti salad, the massive rice pilaf with crab, mussels, and shrimp, and another salad with crunchy noodles in it. it was lush. but the most beautiful thing that night was jayne and koichi. we almost all cried when they were cutting their strawberry cake. they gave us each lil presents for coming-- such a reversal eh-- chocolates and some bath fizzies. louise, sarah, me, and the two of them headed to the community Shiadax for some karaoke till 4 in the morning. and again i was all weepy when Jayne sand this lovely Carpenters song (i:m looking down on creation la la la...)........and we found a new best song to sing, better than intergalactic... BIlly Joel:s We Didn:t Start the Fire...
ahhhhhhhi i have to pick up some grocs and grog for tonite and run home to my warm lil abode and get started cooking, and practicing bass for tomorrow:s studio session. peacy peace!
