Concise Girl! I feel honoured to have you write on my page! I:m excited for news from Guammers, you can shout me at Ichinomiya Amity (do you have the address from the xmas card?) cuz i:m here for another two weeks.
... and I:m anticipating the end of those two weeks for many reasons. Buddha, hwat is wrong with me that i have such a hard time enjoying the process of things? i:m just always thinking two steps ahead. and i:m sure if i continue this way i:ll be in teh grave before i know it.
Taka came here for 24, hours that is, and it was a nice visit for the most part. minus my growing homesickness and frustration of not being able to communicate my needs to the outside world and my constant bewilderment of things that i see. last night i made thai curry, and taka made tapioca/coconut milk dessert. it was amazing! had a couple glasses of wine, the first time in ages, and does alcohol ever hit me fast now! today we went to Nagoya Castle and then for Korean food at Nagoya Station. it was nice and sunny out so we walked around outside for a while. and of COURSE we took another print club! arriving on a postcard near you soon!
As i grow older i understand my parents in the olden days more and more. like i fully understand my mom:s annoyance with me when i was looking for something and couldn:t find it. i would just glance around the room and if i didn:t see it i would just be like *mom, it:s not here!* and then she would come in 30 seconds later, lift up one piece of paper or one sock and behold! the lost item! Such is the case with Taka. which makes me laugh cuz it:s totally like me and it totally drives me crazy! how many times have i opened up a pocket in his bag or picked up a shirt to find the lost item?!?!! mom, i:m so sorry for merely looking with my eyes all those times! it:s true what they say, the things you don:t like in others are what you don:t like about yourself...
except, of course, murderers. no one likes a killer.
Tomorrow i have another day off. this weekend seems so long because I got to spend time with Taka on saturday night, after possibly the longest day of work ever- 8 50 minute classes and 1 hour lunch break. whew! so tomorrow i:m going to hopefully spend time with Naoko. She:s mad cool, i:m not sure if i:ve written about her. she:s a JT at Ichinomiya and hella cool. we:re always speaking Japanese to each other and she makes me feel realyl comfortable when i:m sputtering out my sentences. so i:m looking forward to a fun day, even if it:s just to meet for coffee.
until next time...
